Master Electrician Manager required urgently: Salary R16 000 per month

To schedule and perform plant maintenance as per the maintenance schedule Plan and system.
To assist the Plant Manager in Monitoring and checking on suitability and quality of equipment and generating monthly report using the maintenance schedule Plan. Maintain and review maintenance procedures to ensure maximum availability of photovoltaic system.
Plant Troubleshooting: Able to critically evaluate problems which may arise in the photovoltaic system, undertake a
Technical investigation, if required, provide and implement a technically sound solution to the problem(s).
Perform HV fault switching
Team Management: Assure smooth running of the electrical maintenance team. Participate in and agree to appointment of new functional reports and support the development of their capabilities.
Developing subordinates to ensure that electrical services have the required level of technical proficiency to maintain current and identified future electrical systems and processes.
Monitoring of maintenance contractors like Siemens, MV and HV Subcontractors and ensure adherence to requirements of Service Level Agreements with contractors and suppliers.
Ensure immediate response and close out of preventives and correctives on daily basis
Oversee and ensure installation and maintenance of transformers as and when
Ensure authorization of Electrical Assistants to complete tasks on their own (after assessment)
To inform the facility Manager and Plant manager as part of maintaining availability of spares.
Ensure smooth flow of information between plant manager, electricians, facility Manager, and suppliers.
Ensure adherence of team to safety standards such as Occupational Health and Safety Act and Safety regulations (ensure DSTI’s are completed daily are carried out before commencing tasks).
Implement Log out and Tag out procedures and issue permits in cooperation with the health and safety officer.
Monitor and review safety trends to establish methodologies to maintain a safe environment – ensure SOP’s are up to date (and create new ones when necessary)
Focus on continuous improvement of efficiency
Take up acting plant manager role from time to time
Specification of required tools and oversee their care
Assist electrical team on correctives and preventives when required
Track progress of correctives and preventives in Master Tool
Review and input on maintenance schedule
