At 22H49 Sunday night Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the M2 in Germiston.
Reports from the scene indicate that the driver of a light motor vehicle lost control when he tried to avoid a gas bottle in his lane.
In the process the vehicle crashed into the barrier and rolled.
The driver, a 73-year-old male sustained minor injuries and was treated on scene.
Once stabilised the patient was transported by Netcare 911 ambulance to hospital for further treatment.
