The South African Police Services have released a report into the dramatic arrest of advocate Malesela Teffo.
He was arrested on charges of contempt of court shortly after the Senzo Meyiwa trial adjourned last week.
However, the manner of his arrest has sparked an outcry.
Teffo was originally arrested for assault but failed to appear in court several times.
The police say they had no valid address for Teffo.
