Malawi’s Homeland Security Minister has signed extradition papers for self-proclaimed prophet Shepherd Bushiri and his wife Mary.
The Bushiris absconded while on bail and are facing charges of theft, money laundering and fraud in connection with an alleged R100-million investment scheme.
Malawi’s Information Minister and Government spokesperson Gospel Kazako said by Monday afternoon the court will have the papers and will then decide on the way forward.

A warrant of arrest could be issued for the pair.
