eNCA cameraman Lungile Tom dies after getting Covid-19

eNCA cameraman has died from covid-19 / coronavirus pandemic. Cape Town-based eNCA cameraman Lungile Tom has died of Covid-19-related complications The cameraman was based in Cape Town. He previously worked as a cameraman for CNBC Africa and also offering technical support from 2007 to 2013.

Lungile Tom is one of many unsung professionals apart from healthcare givers who are working tirelessly against the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. Lungile Tom’s death will come as a huge blow to South Africa media as they have been involved on the frontline reporting stories and providing information for decision making by the authorities.

eNCA is a 24-hour tv network owned by e.tv South Africa, The channel focuses on South Africa and Africa in general. It was launched in 2008 and grew to become South Africa’s most-watched 24 hour television network.

eNCA has also been seen as a controversial TV network and is accused of pushing an anti- ANC agenda. Quite recently two TV anchors were suspended after public outcry on the manner they criticized Minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma and President Cyril Ramaphosa.
