Trade and Industry Minister Ebrahim Patel is looking to fire the board of the National Lotteries Commission.
This comes after an explosive report by the Special Investigating Unit which found it mismanaged funds to the tune of R300-million.
In a report submitted to Parliament, the SIU found money meant for developing facilities like drug rehab centres was instead spent on luxury cars and homes.
Patel said it has failed to ensure proper administration and good governance.
