Lootlove and Proverb to host 2024 Metro FM Music Awards

Luthando “Lootlove” Shosha and Tebogo “Proverb” Thekisho will host the Metro FM Music Awards at the Mbombela Stadium in Mpumalanga on April 27.

Lootlove recently made her way back to Metro FM when the station announced its new line-up for 2024–2025. She co-hosts “The Touchdown” with Thabo “Tbo Touch” Molefe. Proverb, the former rapper who co-hosted and co-produced the Idols SA for more than 10 seasons, said it was an honour to host the Metro FM Awards 2024.

The Best Mornings host DJ Sabby and SABC1 presenter Nomalanga “The Flame” Shozi will bring all the action from the Motsepe Foundation-sponsored black carpet. This year’s awards will take place against the backdrop of 30 years of South Africa’s democracy.

Metro FM business manager, Kina Nhlengethwa, said South African music was thriving, attracting new audiences globally, and inspiring black excellence.
