
Tourism Minister Lindiwe Sisulu says she will respond to Acting Chief Justice Raymond Zondo on an appropriate platform in due time.
This is after Zondo referred to Sisulu’s opinion piece on the Constitution and the judiciary as an insult.
In a tweet earlier, Sisulu said she is consulting her legal team on the way forward.
I am in consultation with my legal team.
Meanwhile, the EFF says Zondo’s response is his way of campaigning to be appointed Chief Justice.
The party says he had no reason to enter a political debate.
DA leader John Steenhuisen has also weighed in on the matter, calling for president Cyril Ramaphosa to fire Sisulu.
