Lasizwe Dambuza is tired of the fake love from the industry and has expressed that he wants genuine love from people. It is sometimes to surround yourself with genuine people especially if people still live with the notion of ‘fake it till you make it.’
Lasizwe has never been one to shy away from expressing himself. Thick skin is what a person needs to survive the industry and it is evident that he is working hard to master it.
One thing he pointed out though was the fakeness from people in the industry and how he wishes people could stop pretending for each other. He pointed out how people who do give off kindness are often said to be fake.
“In the entertainment industry… many interpret kindness as being fake. I get it though cause a lot of people be fake and smile just to get something from us. I’ve experienced it and its actually sad! I just wish we could be genuine to one another especially cause we in one industry.”

Anyway, Lasizwe is super excited to launch the first episode of his YouTube series with his brother Lungile. Tomorrow they will be rocking YouTube with their show which he still has not yet named. The only thing we know is that it is #LasizweAndLungile on the streaming app.

Lasizwe is always open and honest about mental health that he often shares a bit much about his own.
It hit him the most when Riky Rick committed suicide, “The fact that he had no one to speak to… no one knew that he was actually dying inside. I went through that; I know how it feels like. I know how it feels like to die inside and have no one to talk to, no one to understand,” he said, in tears.
“This sh** is f***ed up because in our industry people feel like it’s all good… People need to start understanding that depression is real. The moment we start taking it seriously like how we take cancer seriously is the moment we are going to have less suicidal cases. Men are scared to speak out. They feel like they need to bottle it up, they need to drink alcohol, get bad b****yes and that’s it, and that’s wrong,” he continued.
