The KwaZulu-Natal Premier Nomusa Dube-Ncube has appointed her new cabinet MEC’s. This follows the resignation of the MECs for Economic Development Ravi Pillay, Education MEC Kwazi Mbanjwa and Human Settlement MEC Jomo Sibiya. ANC KZN Chairperson Siboniso Duma is now the MEC for Economic Development.
Former KwaZulu-Natal Premier Sihle Zikalala is now the MEC for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs.
Other new MECs are Dr Ntuthuko Mahlaba for Human Settlements and Public Works, Mbali Fraser for Education and Amanda Bani-Mapena for Sports, Arts and Culture. Peggy Nkoyeni is now the Finance MEC a position left vacant when Dube-Ncube became the premier.
