9 arrested in Krugersdorp protest

Nine people were arrested after clashes with the police on Monday in Swaneville, Krugersdorp.

Police are monitoring the situation.

Residents were protesting over vacant land, owned by Absa, not being allocated for housing.

They delivered a memorandum of demands to Mogale City officials.

Police spokesperson, Kay Makhubele says that police will remain in the area to restore law and order.
