Kokota Hitmaker is in Trouble

Another week another case of song theft and this time it’s one of the biggest songs in the country that has been brought into disrepute: Kaygee DaKing’s Kokota. The club banger has had South Africans dancing for the last few months and Bizizi’s vocals get stuck in your head (in a good way) every time you hear the song. But a recent report has suggested that the DJ, Kaygee DaKing (not the same one who had a child with Busiswa!) has failed/refused to credit a of the most important people behind the success of this track, and now they want what they are owed.

Production duo BosPianii, along with Tholukuthi Hey hitmaker, Killer Kau, are all dragging Kaygee DaKing for not crediting them on Kokota. In fact, they are also claiming that they have not received a cent for their role in producing the song.

Their boss, Rendani, was the first to speak out to Daily Sun when he said: They didn’t hesitate as they trusted him. He said it was something he wanted and they would work well with Bizizi’s voice as he had already recorded her.”

Meanwhile, Dakalo and Keamogetswe who make up BosPianii explained why they were extremely upset by the entire arrangement and why they wanted Kaygee DaKing to do the right thing.

Dakalo said to Daily Sun, “I thought we would lift each other up as brothers from the same kasi. This is not cool at all.” before Kea added, “He didn’t even invite us to the video shoot.” Meanwhile, Killer Kau was meant to be on the original song but was left out with no explanation. His manager is also unimpressed and is trying to get lawyers to intervene as soon as possible.

Kaygee Da King has caught wind of these allegations and is affirming that he is not in the wrong. He said to Daily Sun, “Have you ever heard AKA putting producer Tweezy on most of his songs? They can go around tarnishing my name. It is fine, life goes on. All we know is this mess needs a resolution quickly!
