South African singer Kelly Khumalo and her mom Ntombi Khumalo have reconciled their relationship in season three of her Showmax reality show. Kelly Khumalo and her mom Ntombi Khumalo have kicked off season three of her reality show on a happy note. The singer explained that she and her mom are in a better place than the last time around.
“Where am I relationship wise with my mother? Personally I’d like to think and believe that we are in a better place than we were last time,” she said. We talk more, we laugh more, we love each other more and there’s less commotion,” she continued. Ntombi also expressed that a lot has changed since the last time. She also said that she is more at peace now than she was before.
“A lot has changed since the last time. I’m more thankful than I’ve ever been,” said Ntombi. Last season Kelly expressed that she thought her mom failed as a mom. The singer and her mom have had a rough relationship, in the first season of the show, she abruptly left for KwaZulu-Natal without informing Kelly. So, in season two their relationship was tested once again.
Kelly’s previous issues with her mom was that she did not answer questions about her biological father. The singer also felt as though her mom takes her sister Zandi’s side over hers. On top of that, the Empini hitmaker has been frustrated by her mom’s lack of communication and unwillingness to address their issues.
The singer expressed that she felt as though her mom failed as a mom but Ntombi admitted to feeling scared of Kelly. This was because of her anger issues.
“I feel like my mother has somehow failed to be a mom,” said the singer. I sometimes get scared of Kelly because she gets very loud when she is angry,” said Ntombi.
