Kaizer Chiefs Wiseman Meyiwa in stable condition after a horrible accident. Premier Soccer League (PSL) giants Kaizer Chiefs have announced that one of their players has been involved in a motor vehicle accident.

The younger is believed to be stable after meeting up in a car accident on Saturday. Promising midfielder Wiseman Meyiwa is believed to have been involved in a serious car accident on Saturday afternoon as he was reportedly on his way to Pietermaritzburg.

This was confirmed by the club in a statement issued on their official website.

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Wiseman Meyiwa was involved in a motor vehicle accident on Saturday afternoon on the N3 highway, near Villiers in the Free State. He was on his way home to Pietermaritzburg,” a club statement read.

The club also revealed that the 18-year-old player was rushed to the hospital where he is in an intensive care unit.

“The player was rushed to a hospital and taken to intensive care unit for monitoring. He is stable, and doctors are still assessing the seriousness of his injuries. An update will be shared once more details are available. We wish him a speedy recovery,” another statement read.

The South Africa youth international becomes is the second Amakhosi player to be involved in a car accident in recent times. Meyiwa’s club team-mate Lebogang Manyama was recently injured in a collision last and was ruled out for six weeks with a fractured elbow he sustained in a car accident.

Meanwhile, Chiefs are scheduled to face SuperSport United in the 2018 Telkom Knockout Cup quarter-final match at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Sunday.
