Justice Minister Ronald Lamola can’t confirm alleged assassination plot on judge

Justice Minister Ronald Lamola says he can’t confirm the credibility of the plot to assassinate the Deputy Judge President in the Western Cape, Patricia Goliath.

According to a report, its allegedly on the orders of sitting Judge President John Hlophe.

“We have received the report and upon perusal of the report, we realised that we do not have the capacity to determine whether this is credible or is not credible or what action can be taken.

“Then realised that this issue belongs to a law enforcement agency because there is an alleged criminality that could have occurred so hence we have referred the matter to the relevant authorities,” he said.

Lamola says relevant authorities are looking into the matter.
