Julia Fox is spilling the beans about her and Kanye West’s breakup, and it involves Kim Kardashian. The Uncut Gems actress recalls the breakup in her memoir Down the Drain in detail. She reveals that she had told Kanye that she was no longer having fun in their relationship – after her 32nd birthday party.
The rapper then called her the next day to talk to her “one last time,” and told her that he’d had a proper conversation about her with his “soon-to-be-ex-wife,” who had enlightened him about her.
“He calls, and we speak on the phone one last time. He tells me he had a good conversation with his soon-to-be-ex-wife and discovered a lot of information about me,” she writes, per BuzzFeed.
“‘I didn’t know you were a drug addict,’ he says, as if I duped him,” she continues of her heroin addiction, which she openly discusses throughout the memoir. ‘I told you! Maybe if you listened more. And not to mention, so were you!’ At this point I’m yelling,” she adds.
“He remains silent for once. ‘You said you wouldn’t embarrass me,’” said Kanye, per Julia. I refuse to let him hear me crying, so I hang up and tell my publicist to inform the press that we are over,” she concludes of the breakup.
“Shortly after, my million-dollar Italian denim deal falls through as well. ‘It’s contingent on you being his girlfriend,’ I’m informed,” she writes.
