Itumeleng Khune is not taking these new cheating claims lying down anymore. The footballer is tired of the constant trolling and the fake news. Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune is considering taking legal action against the Twitter user @Owamiwamii (who has since deactivated her account after her tweets blew up). The tweets were defamatory and implied that he is cheating on his wife and mother of his first child, Sphelele Makhunga.
The user posted defaming tweets claiming she and Khune spent 2 hours kissing and referred to his wife as a ‘druglord’ who had no idea that she (Owami) spent the whole day with the goalie. Her tweets blew up with many ridiculing the story calling it ‘fake news’. Whilst some believed it and labelled Khune a paedophile, seeing how young the girl is. This is also not the first time that Khune has been linked with a much younger girl.
It all started with a selfie with a fan, but blew up into something much worse. An exhausted Itu Khune finally responded and revealed that he is tired of the baseless trolling and people parading fake news stories about him. During a session when he was interacting with his fans on social media and answering some of their questions on the matter, the footballer said he has no idea why he keeps attracting hate and is still trying to figure out why he is constantly a target.
