Police Minister Bheki Cele has confirmed a suspect accused of murdering former ANC Youth League Secretary-General Sindiso Magaqa has appeared in court.
Magaqa was shot dead in Mzimkhulu last year.
He says more arrests are imminent.
Meanwhile, Cele said the days of political killings in KwaZulu Natal are over.
He was giving an update on the Inter-Ministerial Committee’s intervention into murders in the province.
The inter-ministerial task team set up by President Cyril Ramaphosa in May now has 126 members.
