Mzansi Gay Choir takes over Idols SA stage

The Mzansi Gay Choir helped the Top 5 with their performances this week.

During this week’s show contestants took the stage with the help of the talented choir and the ever-so-gorgeous actor, Khaya Dladla also graced this week’s episode as a guest judge.

Unfortunately, Randall Abrahams’ favourite contestant, Nqobie got eliminated and went home.

Karabo started off the night with a performance by Amanda Black’s Thandwa Ndim and came back with a bold performance of Tina Turner’s River Deep Mountain High, which was a crowd-pleaser.

Daylin Sass followed with a South African classic, Liquideep’s Fairytale and returned with Adam Lambert’s Whataya Want From Me for the second round.

Like Daylin, S’22Kile also started with a classic, Bucie and Heavy K’s hit, Easy To Love and also sang Love On The Brain by Rihanna.

Berry left people happy with her rendition of Craig Lucas’s hit Happy and the Mzansi Gay Choir helped her deliver a stellar performance of Edge of Glory by Lady Gaga.

Kevin went on last and gave a soulful performance of Afrotraction’s Mnike and closed off the show with As by the late George Michael and Mary J. Blige.

The voting lines have officially been opened.
