Isibaya actress Ayanda Borotho to her younger self is always encouraging women to live their best lives. But this time, the star took some time to remember her younger self and while she cannot undo the mistakes she made when she was younger, she said in an Instagram post that she forgives herself for those mistakes and that she loves and honours her younger self.
In the post, she shared an extract from her upcoming book subtitled My Journey Back To Self, in which she encourages other women to heal the little girl crying for help.
Her post reads: “I love you. I forgive you. I celebrate your greatness. I see you. I honour you. You didn’t know better. You will make it. You made it. It wasn’t your fault. Tell your younger self the things you wish you were told as a child. It heals what you didn’t heal in your childhood but took with you into adulthood.
You’ll struggle to reach your full adult potential without releasing the hurt child that’s still crying for help. Pain holds us back. Wounds imprison us.
You have a responsibility to heal that girl first so you can become the woman you were ought to be…Extract from my upcoming book.”.
