EXPOSED: Home Affairs Minister reveals how much officials are being paid to allow illegal immigrants to cross the border into SA

This emerged during the investigation at the Lebombo border post.

Minister Motsoaledi, says it’s painful that it takes so little to sell out the country.

Meanwhile, the Hawks believe it’s broken the back of an illegal border crossing syndicate.

An 18-month operation has resulted in the arrest of 8 suspects.

They include 6 Home Affairs officials, a police officer, and a Mozambican national.

The suspects were arrested at the Lebombo Border Post, at Komatipoort.

It’s alleged they were issuing illegal immigrants false documentation to enter the country.

The suspects are expected to appear in court on Monday.

Minister of Home Affairs, Dr Aaron Motsoaledi has applauded those who assisted in the arrests.
