Action SA is among a handful of smaller parties, who effectively hold the keys to the mayoral offices in Johannesburg.
Herman Mashaba’s green and white party clinched more than nine percent of Gauteng’s total vote, handing them 78 seats in the province’s various councils.
Mashaba says he doesn’t necessarily think he will return to the top spot in the City of Gold.
