Drumboss ‘Heavy K’ sat down with popular Podcaster Mac G on his latest episode of Podcast and Chill. The producer dropped major gems in his interview and his story is very inspiring. The boy who left for Johannesburg at the age of 19 with only R100 in his bank account is now one of the best DJ’s we have in our time but his story gets better and better.
Heavy K’s career is one that is admirable as he gave us timeless hits since the age of 16. The man produced ‘Lento’ by Professor, which was one of the first gems he dropped during the sit down interview. The hit song was released in 2010 and featured vocalist Speedy. With all the success he was still broke and despite being famous, he still could not afford a good lifestyle.
Naak Musiq introduced Heavy K to a woman called Vivian who used to be a video vixen. He said he tried his level best to impress the woman as he had no money at times. The producer said Vivian was there for him when he had no money and would sometimes help out with R200 if he needed food. She was one girl who knew Heavy K with nothing. She liked me for who I am, and she used to lend me R200 just to buy eggs.”
When he started making money, Heavy K wanted to take things to the next level with Vivian. But before he could do that, he wanted to know who had smashed his girlfriend at the time. In a jaw dropping moment, he revealed that Ifani admitted to sleeping with her. After confessing, Heavy decided to dump her and move on with his life.
He also addressed the matter of blessers sleeping with the mother of his children and ex-wife Ntombi. “As long as I am no longer attached to anything because there is nothing, I can do about it. If it fits other men’s egos that they are smashing Heavy K’s baby mama, then so be it. She is the mother of my kids she will always be attached to me.

The DJ also talked about being fat shamed throughout his career. At some point he was referred to ‘DJ Fats’ and ‘Magwinya’ which is a food called vetkoek. “I am immune to people saying anything about my weight.” Mac G being the goof-ball that he is, decided to poke a bit of fun at Heavy K’s weight and asked him when was the last time he saw his own penis. That did not get to Heavy K as he responded by saying he sees it every day.
