Duties & Responsibilities

Developing and executing appropriate research programs and long-term business strategies that are aimed at strengthening and expanding the technical abilities of the Flotation.
Producing professional reports, papers, and presentations at local and international conferences.
Providing strong managerial, leadership and technical guidance on flotation projects.
Deep knowledge of PGM, Base Metal and Industrial Mineral flotation methods and techniques.
Ensuring commercial and research income targets are met.
Overseeing commissioning of pilot-plants, mini plants and conducting technical work on major projects.
Ensuring projects are executed on time and within budget.
Overseeing all interactions with the clients, have a broad network in metallurgical society and actively market the company (especially Flotation) services in the industry.
Providing clients with professional consulting services and supervising all Flotation staff (Engineers at various levels and Operators) on commercial and research projects.

Experience and Education

BSc Metallurgy or BSc Chemical Engineering qualification
Relevant postgrad qualification will be an advantage
3 years’ Metallurgical experience (with a minimum of 3 years of management experience)
Mineral processing expertise on various commodities specializing in flotation systems and design
Strong management and business development skills are required
Proficient in SAP so as to control finance (budget), timesheets, etc
Working knowledge of SHEQ, Risk Control, and Legal Compliance legislation
Ability to work on multiple projects at a time, monitor team performance and provide supervision
Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills

Salary: R19,000.00 to R22,000.00 /month
