Mona Monyane: He doesn’t just capture my best side, he is my best side

Actress Mona Monyane is speaking out about being called ‘ugly’ and how she has built her self-esteem over the years. The former Muvhango actress, who usually posts funny videos on her social media accounts, recently went down memory lane in an effort to encourage women who have had similar experiences with insecurities about how they look.

She attended the University of Pretoria where she studied Drama. She began her acting career in 2012. The highlight of her career is performing at the Market Theatre main stage. Although she is maybe passionate about acting, Mona admitted that if she was not an actress she would’ve settled for a career in being a psychologist.
