Harrismith residents demand audience with President Ramaphosa

Residents of Ntabazwe near Harrismith in the Free State have been protesting for days over poor service delivery in the area.

On Wednesday, they petrol-bombed a truck during clashes with the police.

For weeks now, community members have been demanding access to basic service delivery and to be removed from the Maluti-a-Phofung Municipality.

They’ve promised to continue demonstrating until President Cyril Ramaphosa intervenes.
