Veterinary practice situated in Lyttelton Centurion is looking for a part time receptionist to join their team.
Ideal candidate should be confident and well presented, should have a love for animals and passion for their wellbeing. Customer care experience and experience in a similar environment is essential. A friendly and vibrant disposition with excellent interpersonal skills, great attention to detail and the ability to multitask. The ideal candidate should be able to speak, read & write both Afrikaans and English as the majority of the client base is Afrikaans. Own reliable transport is a must. Position would suit a young person or a part-time student.
Job requirements:
Customer service: Meet & greet clients, ensure all new clients complete registration forms, communication with clients via phone, email, Whatsapp & SMS, follow up on all customer queries. Liaise between clients, nurses and veterinarians.
Sales: Assist with front shop sales, including but not limited to: Veterinary diets, tick & flea products, shampoos, nutritional supplements, toys, bedding & clothing. Ability to invoice clients and receive payments via card or cash.
Administration: Ensuring clients are put on the consultation queue as they arrive, diarizing of scheduled surgeries & procedures, capturing of client registration forms, general filing (consent forms, registration forms, euthanasia forms, invoices), daily cash ups.
Stock Control: Daily ordering of products from respective suppliers, ensuring special orders are placed timeously, receiving of stock – paying special attention to the quantities and items delivered to ensure correct deliveries received as per invoice, stock takes, checking stock expiry dates.
Shift work: Work in shifts, alternating weekly.Early week: Monday to Friday 08:00 – 13:30 (weekend off), Late week: Monday – Friday 13:30 – 18:30 & Saturday 09:00 – 12:00.
