A fire that’s gutted the Greenhouse Bar and restaurant in Johannesburg is being investigated.
The establishment went up in flames on Saturday night while packed with people.
It’s believed the fire was started by fireworks set off inside the recently opened restaurant.
A video on social media showed what appeared to be a tree that caught alight.
What’s left of the bar and eatery has been cordoned off.
The flames were contained to the Greenhouse Bar.
Surrounding businesses escaped the blaze undamaged.
Security guards on the scene blocked the media from taking pictures and video footage.
In a statement, management said no one was injured.
