Strained motorists will have to cough up even more for fuel from Wednesday.
The petrol price for both 93 and 95 unleaded will increase by R1.71 per litre.
Diesel will see an R2.84 a litre increase.
These large hikes are due to higher international oil costs and the volatile rand exchange rate.
Illuminating paraffin prices will rise by R2.78 a litre, and the price of gas will increase by R2.25 per kilogram.
