Welcome guests by standing and greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries and direct the query to the appropriate person daily
Directs visitors/guests by maintaining directories
Maintains security by following procedures; monitoring visitor/guest logbook; issuing guest access cards on arrival
Maintain individual time and attendance records daily
Provide weekly reports of time and attendance to Managers
Maintains safe and clean lobby area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations daily
Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs daily
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed daily
Sort and handle reception emails daily
Accommodate guest requests
Communicate with hotel staff on the status of guest rooms
Keep records of incidents and any challenges experienced
Complete hand over reports as required
Verify a guest’s method of payment and take a credit card imprint
Receive and process guest payment and assign suites to walk-in guests
Use Opera system
Upsell guest rooms as applicable, by sharing available alternatives and options
Assist with guest luggage if required
Know and be able to explain room rate and keep up to date with daily room rates
Update the hotel database with guest preference; likes and dislikes on to the guest profile section if required
In-room guests as needed

This is an entry-level position for a Front Desk Receptionist.
Previous experience in a Hotel Front Desk role minimum of 1 years or Hospitality Qualification completed
Basic IT Competence – Word; Excel; PowerPoint; Internet; Email; Opera
