A fourth person has died following the shooting at a flat in the Durban CBD.
The incident took place on the first floor of a building very close to the Kwazulu Natal High Court.
Four others were seriously wounded and are remaining in hospital.
An off-duty constable based at Albert Park, was one of those killed.
Police are still investigating whether he was a victim or the shooter.
