Sell exhibition space and sponsorships in accordance with set targets to ensure the revenue budget is achieved and exceeded.
Develop long term account relationships through regular calls and visits
Identify opportunities for cross-selling for colleagues on other events
Actively seek new customers
To proactively deliver the Congress opportunities across new and existing business
Develop new revenues streams and creative sales such as sponsorships
Ensure the sales plan is being delivered on target and budget
Monitor sales figures and deliver regular reports to Senior Management & Event Managers on the progress of the show and sponsorships
Manage the various partner databases to ensure they are constantly updated
Ensure a constant high quality of delivery in all prospect, exhibitor and partner communication ensuring the message is on point
Foster positive and professional relationships industry partners
To undertake any other duties as reasonably requested Client Liaison
Drive and assist in meetings with clients to ascertain their specific needs and requirements and identify their goals, objectives, specific target audience, sponsorship information, budget among other elements Brand/Marketing
Execute the event’s brand strategy, ensuring the event maintains and increases its relevance to its market/s, and it meets visitor and exhibitor expectations
Ensure that the exhibitor marketing strategy is delivered, monitored and analysed
Assist in the development of suitable floor plans through consultation with the venue and/or relevant suppliers.
Identify, implement and manage profitable sponsorship opportunities
To get close to your market, understand its trends and develop opportunities around it Financial
Maintain an accurate trade and sponsorship records
Compiling and issuing Cost Estimates & Partner Contracts
Requesting and monitoring supplier invoices and authorizing payments
Work closely with the finance department in relation to the collection of payments Operations
Strong onsite floor management ensuring high levels of exhibitor and delegate experiences and production values are maintained
Liaising with sponsors regarding the venue specifications and any queries that may arise
Manage the set-up and breakdown process at the venue and resolve any problems that may arise whilst on-site
Manage and oversee the exhibition area for the duration of each event General
Set clear goals and objectives for each event
Assist in designing and structuring sponsorship and exhibition packages and pricing in order to ensure profitability. Compile and distribute Expression of Interest per event
With the Event Managers, develop an exhibitor campaign & fee structure. Compile & distribute Expression of Interest per campaign
Strong knowledge of JOC and Health & Safety Regulations
Compile and distribute Trade Manuals per Congress
REQUIREMENTS:
3 – 5 years exhibition sales experience
Demonstrates high call rates and good written proposals
Able to report figures and forecast pipeline accurately
Creative thinker – to be able to generate ideas to improve sales, and identify new business opportunities
Analytical skills – competitor and market analysis
An open and honest communicator is able to work transparently with Event Manager for personal and event success
Experience within the Pharmaceutical/ Medical environment advantageous
High attention to detail
MS Office
Ability to handle pressure
