
South Africa and Ethiopia on Sunday meet to harness the two country’s economies. President Cyril Ramaphosa is hosting Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed in Pretoria.
Their discussions will focus on growing intercountry trade and investment relations.
Ahmed spoke fondly of long-standing relations with South Africa when he addressed scores at the ANC’s birthday celebrations on Saturday.
Ethiopia is the strategic country and its home to the AU headquarters in Addis Ababa.
Ahmed was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize last year and he has been instrumental in leading mediation efforts in East and North Africa.
