Eskom is expected to release its annual results on Friday. This comes after a three-month delay. The indebted power utility continues to rely on government support and borrowing to run its operations.
This year, it received R23-billion which was allocated in the 2020 Budget.
Treasury says Eskom is making progress in its turnaround plan. However, its growing debt burden is still a concern. Its debt has now reached almost 5-hundred-billion rand.
