Eskom anticipates no load-shedding for the week

Eskom says it anticipates no load-shedding for the coming week.

The power utility said this was due to “the electricity system gradually improving.”

“The improvement in plant performance, together with replenished diesel and water reserves over the last few days, as well as the increase of imports from Mozambique’s Cahora Bassa to 850MW, has positively shifted system performance,” Eskom said.

It warned, however, that the risk of load shedding remains.

Eskom said it will give regular updates on the power supply.
