Enhle Mbali’s mom praises her daughter’s strength following Black Coffee split

It’s been a rough couple of months for Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa. After a very public cheating scandal, Enhle and Black Coffee decided to call it quits but the actress has the support of her mother Bongi Mlotshwa to lean on. In a recent emotional Instagram post, Bongi posted a picture of herself standing beside her daughter and praised her for being such a strong woman.

“The lady next to me is a Soldier. Very brave intelligent human being. It’s Amazing how you raised a woman and you end up admiring their Strength. #simplylove #sincerelyyours@enhlembali_ Ngikuthanda finish… all a mother does is Love, Protect, supports and Reprimands even when it’s uncomfortable.Ungamoshi wumtwana [sic],” she wrote.

Enhle commented, “Mama” with three hearts on the post. Enhle and her mother share a close bond and this was evident in an episode of Enhle’s talk show Sincerely Yours, where she had a conversation with her mom about raising her and Enhle’s fears about marriage. Earlier this month, in a report by City Press, several sources confirmed that the DJ fathered two children – aged 12 months and 14 months. The shock revelation, along with claims of emotion abuse, allegedly pushed Enhle to file for divorce in the Johannesburg High Court in October.

In an interview with DJ Zinhle in August this year, the two opened up to each other about cheating partners, forgiving them and trying to protect their children from public scrutiny.

“I went through two scandals: one there was a s-e-x tape, one it was just rachetness and I remember in my pain, in my tears, in my strength and in my stillness, there was one day when I thought ‘why do I care so much? Why do I want to listen to society say ‘he’s cheated on you twice, leave’ what is my heart saying? What is my spirit saying? And my spirit said ‘you love him, sit your a** down and do what is best for you and your family’,” the actress said to DJ Zinhle in their lengthy conversation.

In April, Black Coffee sent an email to his actress wife, suggesting that they end their eight-year marriage, after “trying everything” but failing to save their marriage. In efforts to protect her family, Enhle spoke out in a video she posted on social media, asking the public to respect that this is a private matter, and to think of the two children she shares with the award-winning DJ.
