Amidst reports that Enhle Mbali has filed for divorce from husband Black Coffee (Nkosinathi Innocent Maphumulo), the DJs previous indiscretions have once again resurfaced.

City Press reported on Sunday that the couple, who tied the knot during a traditional wedding ceremony in 2011, is heading for divorce court, citing Black Coffee’s alleged philandering ways as the reason for their separation.

In response to the reports, Capacity Relations released a statement on behalf of the actress, saying: “We have no comment on this. We have however noticed some irresponsible articles being published on the issue.

Black Coffee had not responded to Channel24’s request for comment at the time of publishing.

Here are three times cheating scandals rocked the Maphumulo household:

FIRST SCANDAL

Reports of Black Coffee’s alleged infidelity first came to light in 2013, when model Pheladi Makhola claimed she had an affair with the famous house DJ.

Speaking to Khanyi Mbau on her now cancelled talk show Katch it with Khanyi, Pheladi explained that Black Coffee first approached her on Twitter through a direct message.

She went on to tell Khanyi that she stopped all communication with Black Coffee when Enhle found out about the affair.

According to DRUM, the two went to Polokwane together and shared a hotel room. The magazine also reported that Pheladi allegedly extorted money from Black Coffee in exchange for her silence.

Speaking to Sowetan Live about the affair, Enhle said that she wished “this woman” would leave her alone, and claimed that she had been harassed for two months.

Addressing the alleged adultery on Metro FM in 2018, Black Coffee explained to DJ Fresh that all the attention and fame became overwhelming, and he “slipped up.”

SECOND SCANDAL

The following year, Black Coffee was accused of having a “fling” with university student Adronica Msimango.

The then 20-year-old told DRUM “that he used her for s-e-x”, and shared several WhatsApp messages, Facebook inbox messages and a phone call conversation with the publication.

In response to the reports published in DRUM Black Coffee tweeted: “You can create fake social media account, fake gossip lies. My purpose is bigger than that, you can’t keep the good man down.”

That same year Sunday World revealed that the musician and his wife had been receiving marriage counselling.

DJ Black Coffee denied knowing the student, and Enhle stood by her husband following the reports.

THIRD SCANDAL

A few months later Sowetan Live reported that Lerato Motseke demanded R100 000 from the DJ, after threatening to leak a video of the award-winning DJ having s-e-x with another woman.

The woman in the video was said to have left her cellphone unattended, when her friend, Lerato, downloaded the clip and took down the DJ’s cellphone number.

The Hawks arrested Lerato, and News24 established that she was never in possession of a “s-e-x tape.”
