Applications are invited for the above-mentioned position to be based in Secondary Production, Wadeville Supply Chain. The successful candidate will report to the Site Service Foreman.

Key Performance Areas:

Maintenance work
Understanding of and diligent execution of maintenance inspections as per schedules issued by planning system.
Inspection of plant and equipment (including refrigeration plant, compressor plant, boiler plant, electrical reticulation, and any ancillary plant and equipment), and execution of repairs and defects on plant and equipment.
Problem-solving to prevent recurrence of breakdowns/ faults.
Modification and repairs as requested and required.
Implementing and recommending improvements.
Ensuring spares for repairs are serviceable/ available (ensure stock of critical/ long lead time spares)
Assisting in ordering and specifying spares.
Adhere to all safety procedures and policies.
Report unsafe acts and conditions.
General housekeeping work.
Administration and timeous completion of safety reports, inspection schedules and job cards (planned and unplanned).
Participation in mini-business area activities

The Successful Candidate Must Have:

Minimum of NTC 3 or N 3 & relevant Trade Test Certificate / equivalent qualification as an electrician
Extensive post trade experience in a Utilities/ Facilities environment within a manufacturing or FMCG environment would be advantageous
