Families of people who died in a last week’s horror bus crash in Kei Cuttings, between East London and Butterworth, are pleading with government to assist in burying their loved ones.
The King Sabata Dalindyebo Municipality held a memorial service for the nine victims, who are from several villages in the municipality.
Thirty people died when a DMJ Transport bus driver lost control of the vehicle and it rolled down an embankment.
The DMJ bus company says it’s appointed a lawyer to negotiate with funeral parlours to bury the victims while the families wait for payouts from the Road Accident Fund.
