At 13H35 Thursday afternoon, Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on N3 Westbound Farningham Ridge in Pinetown.
Reports from the scene indicate that a mini-bus taxi traveling towards Pietermaritzburg crashed into the back of a truck resulting in the Mini-bus taxi rolling.
Paramedics assessed the scene and found that three adult males and one adult female had sustained fatal injuries, another eleven patient sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious.
Due to the nature of one of the patients’ injuries the Netcare 2 specialized helicopter ambulance was called to the scene to airlift one of them seriously injured patients to the hospital.
All the necessary authorities were on the scene to investigate.
