A family of five has been shot dead in a suburb just south of Durban on Wednesday.
Sources say it was a husband, wife and their three children.
The police, as well as emergency services, were on the scene.
One of the first respondents, Garrith Jamieson from RescueCare, described what he saw.
“My team was here before me, they entered with the EMRS paramedics and were met with carnage.
“Unfortunately, five people including three children had been killed by gunshot wounds.
“It’s unknown exactly what led up to the gunshot wounds or who fired the shots however, it’s a gruesome scene, horrific scene.”
Paramedics found all five victims in one of the bedrooms of the home.
