DStv Mzansi Viewers’ Choice Awards make a come back

FOLLOWING a two-year hiatus due to the global pandemic, the popular DStv Mzansi Viewers’ Choice Awards are back.

According to organisers, they will be held in June to honour top achievers over the past two years in TV, radio, music, sports and comedy.

In a statement, executive head of marketing for MultiChoice Thabisa Mkhwanazi said the return was exciting.

“Not only are the awards a celebration of our extraordinary local talent, but they also put fans at the centre of everything as they will have voted for the winners.

“As a business, we remain committed to the growth of the local entertainment industry, continue to invest significantly and are fully behind celebrating our local stars. This is also an opportunity for our loyal viewers to vote for their favourite stars. We can’t wait to hear who their top choices are. Ultimately, we are excited to put on a great show for Mzansi.”

The awards, to take place on 25 June at the Sun arena in Tshwane, will broadcast live on Mzansi Magic (DStv channel 161).
