Driver seriously injured after slamming into tree

At 11H23 Friday morning, Netcare 911 responded to a collision on the R614v in Wartburg KZN. Reports indicate that the driver of a light motor vehicle lost control then slamming into a tree.

Medics found that the patient had sustained serious injuries and was treated on scene by an emergency care practitioner.

Fire and Rescue personnel used hydraulic tools to free the man from the wreckage. Once stabilised the man was transported by ambulance to the hospital for further care.
