We are currently looking for 2 extremely reliable and clear thinking, Driver Assistants/Helpers.
Key Tasks:
Load product into freezers when required Help drivers with directions/route planning Plan, organize and effectively used space in trucks Pad, stack, and secure items in position on the truck to prevent damage during shipment.
Ensure all packages are accounted for and also signature received.
Work in conjunction with the driver to expedite delivery.
All packages are organized within the vehicle and the driver helper will need to quickly walk the package to the customer Assist driver with unloading goods during delivery.
Sort and palletize goods to be loaded for delivery.
Work closely with supervisor to ensure that production line flows efficiently Stack cardboard boxes and pallets to maintain a clean work area.
Complete all tasks accurately and completely in order to meet internal/external customer requirements.
Conduct business in a professional and courteous manner and attitude.
Ensure the product is stacked neatly and safely within the warehouse and the delivery truck.
Perform all tasks according to Standard Operating Procedures to ensure a safe work environment for all co-workers
The successful candidate will need to possess the following:
Matric ( Grade 11 minimum )
Code 10 Drivers Licence with PDP
2 years +experience in a cargo driver/assistant driver role
Ability to work without close supervision
Ability to take responsibility for the safety of the truck and its cargo
Have physical fitness and stamina
Good Depth perception and coordination ability
Be responsible with sober habits;
