Gauteng: At 15H51 Thursday afternoon Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the N14 between Carletonville and Randfontein.
Reports from the scene indicate that a car and truck were involved in a collision.
Medics arrived on the scene to find the patient, an adult male entrapped in the vehicle.
The driver also the only occupant had sustained serious injuries and was treated on the scene while a Netcare 911 Rescue Technician and Fire and Rescue Services used hydraulic tools to free him from the wreckage.
Once stabilized the patient was flown by Netcare 911 helicopter ambulance to the hospital for further treatment.
