Summary:
Atlantic Glass & Aluminium, a leading Architectural Aluminium Fabrication company based in Port Elizabeth seeks an estimator/draughtsman for the accurate costing of projects.
Responsibilities:
Costing / Tendering: Responsible for accurately calculating (estimating) the total costs for the purpose of tendering or quoting on specific projects;
Analyze and compile shop drawings and other documentation to prepare time scale, cost implications, materials usage, and labour estimates;
Assess the cost-effectiveness of products, projects or services;
Ensure that no financial loss is incurred due to unnecessary waste or quality failures. Effective quality control measures implemented; and
Client liaison.
Requirements:
Candidates must possess the following characteristics, experience, and qualifications:
Minimum grade 12, diploma/degree preferred;
Minimum of three years’ work experience;
Drivers’ license and own transport required;
Must be the computer literate and competent on, AutoCAD 2D & 3D, Caddie, Inventor, V6 or Star front or Bizman;
Must have knowledge of Shopfronts, Curtain Walls, Sliding and Stacking doors.
Excellent communicator and problem solver;
