South African sprinter Akani Simbine to miss Diamond League Paris Meet

South Africa’s Akani Simbine will not be part of the Diamond League Paris Meet as Olympic champion Marcell Jacobs returns to the track.  Italy’s Jacobs returns from nursing an injury which saw him miss Rabat and Florence. Both races were won by world champion Fred Kerley. Jacobs will now be competing in his first 100m race of the season.

Meanwhile, Africa’s fastest man Ferdinand Omanyala will be looking to improve his performance with the focus strongly set on the upcoming World Championships in Budapest. Omanyala finished third at the Meeting in Rabat, Morocco, and second at the Meeting in Florence, Italy, last week.
