
The health department reported that 5,668 new COVID-19 infections have been recorded countrywide.
Sadly, a further 119 people have died, bringing the death toll to 92,649.
Over 40,000 tests were conducted since the last report and the positivity rate stands at 14 percent.
KwaZulu-Natal has the biggest share of new cases with 1,432.
Gauteng is second, having recorded 1,310 new cases.
The Western Cape recorded 1,151 infections.
The rest of the provinces are below the 1,000 mark.
