At 19H34 Monday night Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the P100, Ndwedwe, Durban.
Reports from the scene indicate that the driver of a light motor vehicle lost control resulting in a rollover, coming to rest on its side.
Paramedics assessed the scene and found that the driver and his passenger, both adult males sustained serious injuries.
Due to limited access to the patients, the Netcare 911 Rescue Technician, as well as the Ethekwini Fire and Rescue Services, used various hydraulic tools including the “Jaws of Life” to free the patients.
Once freed, the patients were transported by ambulance to the hospital for further treatment.
All necessary authorities were on the scene.
