People over the age of 60 will begin receiving COVID-19 jabs on Monday.

Health Minister Zweli Mkhize says over one million people have registered for the vaccine.

He is urging patience with the process.

“If you have not yet received an SMS, if they can just be patient, they will be coming through,” Mkhize said.

“The numbers will start slowly if people can just be patient.

“We will slowly increase the numbers as vaccines become available,” he added.
